Following your procedure, you will be in the recovery room until your surgeon or anesthesiologist feel you may safety go home to continue your recovery with family or friends. The average length of stay in recovery is 1-2 hours.
You will be given written instructions to follow at home regarding diet, activity and medications. In the event of any difficulty, call you physician or his answering service.
If you have had an anesthetic you may not drive, drink alcoholic beverages or sign legal documents for 24 hours.
